Welcome to the Crossword Dictionary. I put this site together because I am a lover of crossword puzzles and wanted to write some of my own. And, being the computer nerd that I am, I decided that the easiest way to do this was to have a way that would let me look up words to plug holes. I mean, when you need a word that fits:

Wouldn't it be nice to look it up and find something like OSWEGO,  New York city, county or river. Well, that's why this database exists, so you can look up word patterns and find words and clues.
